About It’s
More Than a
Feeling Therapy
Founded by Ashley Conway, LCSW, It’s More Than a Feeling Therapy is a virtual practice for adults throughout Florida. We believe therapy should feel personal, collaborative, and grounded in what matters to you—not like a one-size-fits-all approach.
A therapist’s honest take on the other side of chronic illness
Chronic illness can change your life in ways that aren’t always visible to others. It can affect your relationships, identity, independence, plans for the future, and how you see yourself.
We believe the emotional side of chronic illness deserves just as much attention as the physical side. In this interview, Ashley talks about the experiences that often go unspoken and why having the right support can make a difference.
Care that stays close to real life
We work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic illness, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Our approach is collaborative and tailored to you. We take the time to understand what’s happening in your life, what you’ve been through, and what you want to change. When appropriate, we incorporate evidence-based approaches including EMDR and CBT as part of your treatment.
We listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you recognize patterns that may be getting in the way of feeling more like yourself.
What you can expect
from therapy
Come as you are
You don’t need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll start with what’s going on now and take the time to understand what brought you here.
Therapy that’s personal
Some sessions may focus on practical tools for managing what you’re experiencing, while others may explore patterns, relationships, or experiences from your past. Your therapy will be shaped around what you need.
At a pace that works for you
Therapy shouldn’t feel rushed or one-size-fits-all. We’ll check in along the way, talk openly about what’s working, and adjust our approach as your needs and goals change.
